If you haven't noticed, the servers have been pretty busy lately. The DoD server is often packed into the early morning, and the HoB server has been so busy, especially with scrims, that we've had to increase from 24 to 32 slots so people can get on. With all this increased activity, we felt the need to increase our admin staff to make sure that we have adequate coverage to ensure your playing enjoyment.
Although we have a lot of worthy candidates to consider among our player base, we immediately and unanimously agreed on the first two names that were proposed:
Bled4days
and
Diggler
Bled4Days has proven himself in a number of ways, from working tirelessly to attract players on the old DoD server, through his participation in the map testing group, to his more recent efforts to manage the TF2 and HoB scrims with CBW. He's been a voice for the community, championing issues that he's overheard on the servers to make sure those issues are addressed in the forums. He's more than earned the admin position, and we expect him to continue being the voice of the players in his new role.
Diggler had proven himself long ago, at a time when we didn't have a need for additional admins. To recognize his efforts, we enlisted him as a forum moderator, where he continued to prove himself by keeping close tabs on forum issues and keeping the admins aware of posts that need admin attention. This promotion is long-overdue.
I hope you all join me in welcoming these most-needed additions to the admin staff, and I trust that you will show them the same level of (dis)respect that you show the current admin staff.
