Server Rules / Information

|
All server rules and in-game requests from admins must be obeyed no matter how trivial you feel it is. If you have a comment, question, or issue with any in-game requests, DO NOT argue with the admin. Simply go to the forums and post your question, comment, argument in the Bans/Kicks forum. Game Commands (DoD only)
Spawn Camping is a no-no. Spawn camping is defined as shooting players as they spawn without giving them a chance to move, or camping the only exit from a spawn area. Throwing grenades into the spawn is also not tolerated and will result in a permanent BAN. DON'T BE AN IDIOT!!
Friendly Fire is always on. If you accidentally team kill (known as TK'ing) say sorry. Be courteous and forgive TK's. You are automatically banned for 72 hours if you exceed 5 TK's.
Cheating will get you banned. Wallhacks, Aimbots, speed hacks, scripts which exploit game variables, etc will not be tolerated. You get caught cheating you will be banned permanently.
The Use of Exploits will get you banned. This includes map and game exploits. EXPLOITS = CHEATING. Just because the exploit is not listed, don't assume you can use it. An exploit is an exploit!! Furthermore, we do NOT tolerate jump shooting, shooting while falling to prone, and/or bunny hopping/jumping to avoid fire. If you wish to play in this cartoonish manner, please go somewhere else!!
Attitudes Be nice. Its that simple. Respect other players no matter what their comments are. If someone is causing trouble, do not take it upon yourself to confront them. Simply pass word on to an admin. Disruptive behavior (including verbal abuse and racist remarks) will not be tolerated EVER. Offensive player names will not be tolerated. THIS SERVER IS FOR PLAYING, NOT ANNOYING THE OTHER PLAYERS OR ADMINS! IF YOU CANNOT FOLLOW SIMPLE RULES, THEN GO PLAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
Cooperation Listen when an admin tells you to do something. Ignoring it or failure to obey an admin is not acceptable. "I didn't see the message" is not an acceptable excuse. If you don't listen to an admin's warnings you will be kicked/banned.
Shooting In Spawn DO NOT USE YOUR WEAPONS IN SPAWN. IGNORING A REQUEST TO STOP SHOOTING IN SPAWN WILL RESULT IN PERMANENT BAN!! There are just too many "accidents"!!
Game Commands - The following is a list of in-game commands you can use while playing Day of Defeat at Mike's:
Forgivetk - forgives a TK.
Stuck - Attempts to get you unstuck when you get stuck on map.
Thetime - Displays the current time.
Timeleft - Amount of time left on the current map.
Currentmap - The maps of the map which you are currently playing.
Nextmap - Map you will be playing after the current map finishes.
Mapvote - Starts a poll to vote for a new map.
Rockthevote - Starts a poll to vote for a new map or to extend the current map.
vote dod_mapname - Places a vote for a map during mapvote.
vote extend - Places a vote to extend the current map.

- Registration
To register on the forums as a member a "real" e-mail address is needed. Webmail e-mail addresses, with the exception of Gmail, are banned. This is to ensure that the Admins can contact members through e-mail and to counter ban-evaders.
- Post in the right forum categories
When making new threads please ensure that you are posting in the correct forum. Topics that are posted in the wrong category means extra work for the Admins and Moderators.
Posting in the relevant sub-forum helps to cut down on reposts and makes finding threads easier.
- Reposts
Reposts are unavoidable but can be minimized by using the Search button.
- Spamming
Spamming is only allowed in the Off-Topic section and only to a certain degree. Use common sense please.
- Flaming and racist/discriminatory remarks/posts
Under NO circumstances is it allowed for members to flame or post racist and/or discriminatory remarks. EXPECT TO BE BANNED WITH NO WARNING for breaking this rule! These forums are a direct result of people wanting to online game. The word game is key here!! There is ZERO need EVER to flame or use racist or discriminatory remarks to ANYONE in these forums. If you get that hot and contested directly or indirectly from a game, please seek professional counseling.
- Swearing and obscene words
Please remember that minors read these forums. Do not swear or use obscene language.
Also, please do NOT attempt to by-pass the swear filter, it is there for a reason. A direct and deliberate attempt to bypass the filter will result you being BANNED! Also, complaining about the swear filter will get you punished. Plain and simple: WE DON'T WANT YOUR FOUL MOUTH HERE!!
- Politics and subjects of a sensitive nature
Mike's Marauders is a friendly, team-oriented game playing environment - not a place for political discussions and subjects of a sensitive nature. Topics in these forums can be varied and we discuss just about everything here. While the occasional comment might be expected and let go, politics and other subjects of a sensitive nature are NOT to be discussed on these forums. There are countless other places on the internet where one can discuss such matters. For the sake of keeping MM!! a friendly, welcoming environment for game play, such subjects are not allowed.
- Images
Pictures and images are allowed in posts, but please make sure that images are no larger than 800x600. Images larger than this should be resized before being posted.
If your thread/topic contains many images, please include a warning in the title.
Again, please remember that minors use these forums. This means that images containing extreme violence and/or sexual content are not allowed.
- Crackz, Warez and Haxz
Under no circumstances is anyone allowed to post illegal material or links to illegal material. This includes links to no-cd cracks, warez or cheating/hacking software. Even if no-cd cracks are not illegal in your country they are in some states and it is forbidden to post links to these.
- Locked topics
If your thread/topic has been locked please do not start another one asking why it was locked, either PM or e-mail the Admins.
- Commercials
Do not post commercials or recommend certain companies if you have a financial interest in doing so. If you, as a customer, have had a good experience with a certain company it is, of course, allowed for you to post a recommendation of that company.
- Signatures
Signatures are allowed but should be no larger than ?*?. Signatures larger than the maximum size or with content deemed inappropriate can, and will, be removed by the Admins. In conjunction with the next section, do NOT hotlink your signature and steal bandwidth!! If you need someone to host your sig, please email the admins and we will see what we can do to help you out.
- Do not steal bandwidth (Hotlinking)
What is hotlinking and why is it bad?
Hotlinking will result in the removal of the offending image. Persistent hotlinking may result in a ban from the forums.

UploadHouse
These rules should be simple to understand. Non-compliance with the rules can result in anything from your post count being mysteriously lowered to being banned from the forums and/or game servers! Any questions or doubts about these rules should be directed to the Admins, either by e-mail or Private Message. Happy posting.
