Thought you might find this interesting.
The white line points at an little jut of land. Their are 34 1/2 Acre lots all in a row. Mine is the 9th from the top. As you can see we are basicly out in the middle of nowhere. It also gives some idea of the size of our lake. The lake is a Hydro reservoir, the current google space shot was taken when the lake was drawn down for some maintenance. If you want to check it out just google Stave Lake BC. Use the map below to zoom in on the cabins. They are hard to see as most are just in the tree line. We used to be water access only, some many years ago we bought a railway flat car and striped it down an laid it across the river. Added some railings and footings. (Bridge) We also put in a gate so the public cant access the lake from our side. 2 hours from home. I am truly blessed.

OK, you guys might have it hotter that we have it, I wont argue about that. But you have no idea what a decent beer is. So I suggest you just lay that part of your argument to rest.
And I got a few lakes around here to, so if any of you wants to go fishing, just let me know and I'll put the beer on ice. I assume you all want it so cold that you cant taste it? As normal over there? |

I dunno... the drive I just did across Kansas pretty well sucked. 95. sunny. 30mph sustained headwind. Dry. In the truck, was not fun. A/C full blast. Mileage dropped 10%. Only redeeming factor? It was dry and my sweat actually evaporated when I stopped at the rest areas.

On the contrary, I most certainly do. The Shiner Bock I'm drinking here in Dallas almost qualifies. The stuff my sister brings me back from Dublin, Ireland are truly decent beers. Vancouver, huh? 1600 miles, Google says 1 day 3 hours. In my experience on a motorcycle that's about 39 hours in the saddle. I could get my Bun Burner 1500 certification again (last time was to Raleigh, NC but I didn't go by a certified route). This is starting to look better and better. - Max |
